Pieces of Eight is an entertaining geometric sculpture that challenges three-dimensional recall and spatial orientation allowing innovative play and creativity within the confines of its geometry. It is itself a sculpture that can be arranged to form other sculptures.

A system of geometric volumes consisting of two base elements; each element is square in cross section with one forty-five degree facet to one side and a compound forty-five degree facet to the other. These six-sided base elements are identical mirror images of each other. Four sets, eight individual elements, group to create symmetrical formations. An infinite number of configurations can be devised within this system.
